CONSIDER THE LILIES

If God cares for the flowers and the birds… what will you do with Him?

Lilies don’t work.
They don’t worry.
They don’t chase status or beauty.
Yet Jesus said they are clothed more beautifully than kings.

And the doves in the sky?
They aren’t anxious.
They aren’t in control.
Yet every flap of their wings is sustained by the God who watches over them.

Jesus said:
“Consider the lilies…” — Luke 12:27
Not to make us passive—
but to wake us up.

Because while creation rests in God’s care,
we run ourselves into the ground
trying to secure a life
we can’t even keep.

We chase beauty, money, affirmation, identity—
but none of it lasts.
None of it satisfies.
None of it can save us when we stand before a holy God.

And the truth is:
We’ve all sinned.
We’ve broken God’s Law.
We’ve loved everything but Him.
And sin separates us from the very One who gives us breath.

But the God who clothes the lilies
and carries the doves
stepped into our world.

Jesus Christ lived perfectly,
died for sinners,
and rose again—
offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who turn to Him.

Lilies fade.
Doves fall.
Life is short.
Eternity is not.

Turn from sin.
Trust in Jesus Christ.
Find rest in the One who cares for you far more than the flowers of the field.
