YOU CAN’T GROW YOUR WAY TO GOD —
BUT GOD CAN GROW YOU**
We love the picture of a flower blooming —
but Scripture is painfully honest:
we don’t start as flowers.
We start as dead soil.
Dead in sin.
Rootless.
Fruitless.
Cut off from the life of God.
No amount of “trying harder”
or “being better”
or “staying positive”
can make a dead thing grow.
But here’s the miracle:
Jesus didn’t come to improve you.
He came to resurrect you.
When He took your sin to the cross,
He broke the curse at the root.
When He rose from the grave,
He opened the way for new life to bloom.
And that new life is not self-made.
It’s grace-grown.
Grace saves you.
Grace cleanses you.
Grace strengthens you.
Grace transforms you.
And yes — grace grows you.
But here’s the urgency:
Growth begins with surrender.
You cannot “grow in grace”
until you’ve first received that grace.
So hear this clearly:
If you have not turned from sin
and trusted in Christ alone,
you are not growing —
you’re still dead.
But today — right now —
Jesus offers you life.
Repent. Believe. Live.
Start growing in the soil of His mercy.
And once He makes you new,
growth becomes the evidence.
The fruit.
The sign that you belong to Him.
Let the flower remind you:
You were made for more than survival.
You were made to flourish —
in His light,
in His truth,
in His grace.
Grow.
But grow in Him.
