REJOICE ALWAYS

But how can anyone rejoice when life is broken?

We love the idea of joy that never runs out—
joy that circles back,
joy that renews,
joy that lasts.

But the truth is, our joy leaks.
Our hearts crack.
Pain interrupts.
Sin destroys.
And no matter how hard we try to “stay positive,”
our joy keeps recycling into emptiness.

The Bible commands:
“Rejoice always.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:16
But that command exposes a deeper problem:

We can’t rejoice always.
Not on our own.
Not with a guilty conscience.
Not while separated from the God who is the source of joy itself.

And that’s the point.

We’ve all sinned.
We’ve lied, lusted, envied, and ignored God.
We’ve broken His Law.
And sin doesn’t just steal joy—
it places us under judgment.

A heart at war with God cannot produce lasting joy.

But here is the good news:

Jesus Christ came to restore what sin ruined.
He lived without sin,
died in our place,
and rose again—
so joy could return to those who were spiritually dead.

Real joy begins
when guilt is forgiven.
when sin is confessed.
when Jesus becomes Savior,
not just a concept.

Rejoicing “always” isn’t about forcing emotion.
It’s about being made new.
It’s the byproduct of a transformed heart,
a cleansed conscience,
a restored relationship with God.

And that joy never stops—
because Jesus never stops saving,
never stops sustaining,
never stops being enough.

Turn from sin.
Trust in Jesus Christ.
Let Him give you the joy you cannot produce on your own—
a joy that truly comes back again and again.

“In Your presence there is fullness of joy.” — Psalms 16:11
